Dynamic analysis of water
Current patterns
TIDAL software is a tool for the simulation of coastal hydrodynamics and water quality for large areas as bays, estuaries, lakes and nearshore area. Residual concentration
of wastes at the mouth of a river

It allows to take into account several physical phenomena such as currents, tides, winds, gravity and Coriolis forces, friction bottom, heat transfer and chemical reactions. Flooding and draining may also be considered.
The computation is made for stationnary or time-dependent phenomena for any geometry of the site (including islands). Modelisation of inlets and/or outlets is performed when introducing one or several fluid and/or pollutant sources.
The output of the model are, for any points of the site, the intensity and direction of the current velocity, the concentration of one or several chemical species, the local water level and the temperature. Seiche in Port Tudy

TIDAL has been used for a wide range of practical problems linked with water ressources, industrial and urban wastes, constuction of harbours, ecological impact. A demonstration is available here.
