EODAS (EO Data Archiving Service, ESA), led by ACRI-ST, (1) provides a secure and reliable archive of ESA’s Earth Observation data covering historical, present and future ESA missions (Sentinels missions are excluded) as well as Third Party missions and (2) provides/delivers the data in scope of the Service, with accompanying metadata and mission documentation, back to ESA (or other recipients) upon request.


GlobColour (ESA DUE), successfully led by ACRI-ST, has allowed to develop and operate an operational system merging Ocean Colour products acquired by MERIS, MODIS-A and SeaWiFS at global scale and with a 4 km spatial resolution. This service supports a continuously increasing user’s community (904 users registered in April 2016) needs (long time series of ocean colour products including uncertainties estimates). The service is based on an operational system and on the development of efficient tools and architecture fit for the purpose.


ODESA (Optical Data processor of ESA), developed by ACRI-ST, provides the users with a complete environment for the processing of the MERIS level 2 products and for the products of the future optical Sentinel-3 sensors. This environment includes: (1) MERIS on-line data processing, (2) the MEGS® platform for the development of MERIS data processing algorithms including source code (today, availability of executable, source code to come) and all test and verification facilities, (3) analysis tools, (4) the MERMAID validation facility and (5) a forum dedicated to any topics about MERIS and ODESA.



Coastal TEP (ESA): ACRI-ST is responsible for the development of the Coastal Thematic Exploitation Platform (TEP). This platform offers spatial data users access to useful sources for different applications in the coastal environment, but also a library of applications to process data and extract information. The user can perform remote treatment through the platform, but also develop new applications and publish them. In addition, the TRP offers thematic and scientific activities (discussion forum, workshop, comparison of algorithms …).



GlobTemperature (ESA DUE), led by ACRI-ST, provides users with a single point of access to multi-mission satellite land, lake and ice surface temperature data sets in a harmonised format, including consistently generated uncertainty budgets, documentation, and quality information obtained through intensive intercomparison and validation. Several datasets are available and the portal allows to select data upon several criteria (ROI, cloud cover, …) and offers online tools such as quicklook generation, time series plot, match-up between satellite and in-situ data, ….



CMEMS (Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service) aims to provide products and services for marine applications. ACRI-ST is part of the OC-TAC (Ocean Colour Thematic Assembly Centre) component, which provides Observation Ocean Colour data products based on SeaWifs, MERIS, MODIS, VIIRS and the coming S3-OLCI. In this frame, ACRI-ST provides a long time-series based on the GlobColour-OSS2015 initiative and Near Real Time (NRT) products .
